Phone sheriff is a BIG disappointment. First, a child can EASILY uninstall it. Second, while installed, is not accurate, third, has useless customer service, they could not help me with basic installation issue, and third, no money refund for the useless product and jailbroken phone. The file that i payed for wouldnt download no matter how many downloader programs i had. I recieved numerous e-mails that appear automated but no real customer service. I do believe certain things have come onto my phone without me really knowing who or what but i dont have any kind of application that i can use when i need it. I've gone back to the web site again and now its asking almost 70 bucks for the same thing. I hope you guys are working on this for me. In Your company pictures yall seem like good people. It was easy to install and worked great. At times it would take a few hours to send a report but the GPS countined to show locations but for the last three days no reports at all. Customer service gave me the following reasons it quit reporting. 1. The target phone had anti virus installef on it which deleted the Mobi stealth app. No antivirus was installed on the phone. 2. The phone had a system update which removed the app. The phone has not had a system update. 3. Unstable internet connection. The internet connection is stable. I think it's an issue with their server but they won't admit it. I got Mobistealth tovmonitor my teen daughter's saftey while she is out of state but apparently that won't happen. If it's an issue on their side then they need to admit it and fix it and not use the problem with the target phone cop out. If the problem gets fixed i would give it a much higher rating due to the fact work fine for 3,5 months - mary

Horrible program! It has worked 3 out of 14 days, have spent 5+ days trying to resolve issue with company. I even verified my child's android phone was compatible before even considering buying the program. First given excuses and run around. Then, told it is my child's fault the program isn't working. I am pressured to accept another of the company's programs even though non of the other programs offer options that phonesheriff supposedly offer. I'm told no refunds unless the program is faulty which according to them can't be the case, it is my child's doing. The program does not keep settings or restrictions set, accurately display gps location or record any logs. I am very fed up with this company and program. I paid a good chunk of money for a defective program that does not work as advertised or stated. I would and will NOT recommend this product or company to anyone EVER! - Jess
For the past two weeks, Flexispy has not worked properly. We have been told they are upgrading their system and at first were told 24 to 48 hours. Then we were told it would take a week. Now we have been told "next week sometime." This is totally unacceptable!! This has been showing up on their login site TEN days ago. actually I use phone-sheriff with Retina-X Studios, LLC, 13453 N. Main st, suite 201, Jacksonville, FL32218. It used to work on Samsung mini for a month, then after I transferred to Samsung Galaxy II, it works only when technical support to reset / or push whatever magic button in my account for me to receive phone activity for about 10- 20 minutes. in more than a month, I only received 2 alerts email and no more than 30 minutes activity reports. Have uninstalled/reinstalled the software multiple times; spend many hours online with tech people; opened many tickets for the issue, still no resolution. Even though it says online that there will be refund if it doesn't work, it is cheating!! no, they won't refund. Please STAY AWAY from this product, unless you want to waste your money for something doesn't work and waste your time to chat online with support (maybe only one person even though different name is showed up?), as there is no support phone line!! - June
I have used Flexispy for about 6 weeks and it works about 70% of the time. I only use it track location, SMS and phone calls so the Android is not rooted. They do have live support and they are very nice but they usually can't fix your problem. They tell you to turn the target phone off and on (hard to do when it's over 100 miles away) and wait 2 or 3 hours and try again. It usually starts working in a day or so, but right now it's been down for awhile so I'm not real hopeful. It has been very frustrating but supposedly, this is the best that's out there. I am using this on a work phone and the person knows they're being monitored but it doesn't help when I have to call them to turn the phone off and on so they know it's not working properly. I wish someone could come up with a reliable phone tracking system for businesses - who cares if the app shows up on the phone? - Andrea
Well, i've read all the posts here, i've read a lot of reviews online about various software solutions. From those reviews, i'd say flexi always had the best reviewies. That's why i decided to purchase it myself. Oh how i was fooled. Hardly anything works with this software. I don't know who uses this that it gave such great reviews, but it could not be further from the truth. I'm reviewing from an unrooted android 4.4.2 Let's start. Control panel. All commands are synced with the phone on a minimum 1 hour difference. There's a "send immediate" action however, that does not work, ever. There are ways to do this by sms, however, on unrooted 4.4.2 android the sms shows on target phone so that's out of the question because you haveto have the phone in your hand to send the sms. The changes you make then go into the "pending commands" folder. Which would be great since you see what commands you sent, and when they've been processed, but alas, these tend to get stuck, and don't get sent to phone for hours, even days, and you have to push it with an sms. That would still be somewhat acceptable IF THEY WORKED. Over the course of 7 days, i've had to issue SAME commands several times for them to be finally accepted by the phone. They usually get accepted after 2 or 3 tries, never from the first try. Then there's features that are advertised ,but clearly don't work. Like phone call recordings. I've had to contact support 4 times to be told 4 different things i had to set in my control panel (some have no relation to call recording but ok). AFter i've finally managed to do that and the phone to accept it in the span of 4 days, i'm told by support that "there's a glitch and these won't work for some time, wait at least 2 weeks for new version for this to be corrected". It's clear this did not work from the getgo, but i've been given the runaround from the support. Then there's pictures/videos to be uploaded. Videos are not shown even a screencap, just "video of this and this size" thats it. If it's not automaticaly uploaded, at least post the screencap to see what's it about. This way you have to manually click on every video "GET VIDEO" to even see what's it about. Some can't even be uploaded if they're larger (this was nowhere advertised). The pictures are screencaps, but they're such small versions of the real pictures that it's laughable, but ok, i could live with that since you see a small thumbnail of the picture so you could get those you want in fullsize. Then there's the Wifi vs GSM data transfer. I've set it only to wifi because i don't want to drain the GSM plan data. For that i've gotten, AT BEST, 1 connection a day from phone to server, which is ridiculous because the wifi at my home is constanly available, the phone is present in the home at least 3-4 times a day for as long as 7 hours during the day, and whole night. Why is it not connecting it's not known. The best answer i could got about that is "switch to data" which is ludacris. Also, am told the phone doesn't send anything if it's not actually ON. On as in you have to be working on it. As soon as the dim screen appears, phone stops sending data. Which is another ludacris thing. The whole issue about it being stealth is that it should send data when it's not used. Oh and, there's no option to set some things to be sent over wifi, some over gsm data. You either use gsm or wifi, which is stupid. A feature that offers call log, sms for gsm data and wifi for larger packages like pictures/videos would be beneficial and very useful. But alas, that's also not available. Only thing that i could think this software would be good about is the hidng of the phone beeing rooted, but alas, i have not rooted mine and did not check this feature. I have no doubt there would be some other things that would fail with it again. Very very dissapointed. Reviewers gave it excelent reviews, but i feel it's all marketing. I can't believe no one encountered these problems. Overall rating is 2 out of 10. - mark
Beware that Flexispy (either version) does not record any text messages over 140 characters. It will pick up MMS but only with a video or picture. It not only doesn't show the long text; it doesn't even show one has been sent or received. I also cannot get the Website activity to work although I doubled checked that browsing wasn't been done incognito. Stealthgenie was a better product and cheaper. My target knows his cell is being monitored and we own the phone so that is not a problem. - Andrea

Since their nightmaish upgrade to V7, the system has been down since last week. Apparently all of the active customers have to re-register. I tried and the system does not recognize any of my license keys. BACKSTORY: I started doing research on on spy products when my husband began traveling a lot for business. One night in Chicago he didn't make it back to his hotel room and since we were to be married in 30 days I thought there was no way I was going to marry a cheater. So, he accidentally left his phone in my car when I went on a grocery shopping trip so I decided to install it. Luckily I am tech-savvy and was able to quickly install it without any major hiccups. No call to Support was needed and I did it while sitting in the parking lot. I installed the Pro version. PROS: (DEFINITELY read the Cons below) 1) Within 30 minutes I was able to see his contact list, his location, his call log, his internet browsing history, his pictures, his videos and his appointment schedule. 2) It took me a while to understand how to record his surroundings because the verbiage isn't the most clear. I realized I had to enter my phone number as the "Source Phone Number of Secret SMS" then you can enter in a phrase that you'll text him/her like "I love you". When you send a text solely saying "I love you" it records their surrounding the for amount of time you choose. You can change the recording phrase often to make it blend seamlessly with your conversation. It worked like a charm for almost a year and a half (see Cons below). Once you send the secret text you will receive a text message letting you know that their surroundings were being recorded for the slotted time. Good stuff. 3) I had very little problems with the GPS but when I did I made a fool out if myself (explained in Cons). 4) I could read every text-only message sent and received except a couple (the most important ones, in my opinion), also described below. 5) If a picture was saved to his phone or taken by his phone it was available for me to see (but again, read the Cons). CONS: 1) We have a second home in a small town that has a metal roof. Well, that shot the GPS signal over 12 miles away. I freaked and had friends from that town drive out to the location to see WTF but it was a gated community with new construction. So I turned on the surround recording but that doesn't come in from anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. As soon as he stepped outside the gps pinged him so it showed he traveled 12 miles in 2 minutes. Unless he's Flash that's not possible. As soon as he went back inside the locator showed he was again 12 miles away. Man, I acted a fool. Even got my friends involved. :( 2) When I finally got the call recording to work after trying multiple combinations (this took a while but was worth it) the program couldn't record the conversation when he used his bluetooth ear piece. It's all he ever used. :( I hid his ear piece and he bought another. So that feature could use some updating, if possible. 3) Picture messages. Nope. The program doesn't even log the text portion if it's sent with a picture. The only way you'd see it is if he/she saved it to their gallery which a cheater isn't stupid enough to do, for the most part. You also won't know if he/she sends a picture but you'll be able to see if they took explicit photos by looking at the pictures history. 4) BIGGEST AND WORST CON...toward the last few months if I sent him a message that would start the Surround Recording and he had my text box open, HE got the text message saying that his surroundings were being recorded. WTF?!??? That got me caught. I saw he searched for Mobistealth on his phone and I knew something happened. Then he showed me what he had been receiving. So was it worth it? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to a friend? ABSOLUTELY. Even after getting caught. It took over a year and a half for that to happen but that's a lot of time to gather information on your significant other. The app did quite the opposite of what I expected it to. I, of course, expected to find him cheating and lying but the app proved him to be a good and faithful man. Prior to him I had been in a relationship where I had been cheated on so naturally I was skeptical, jealous and questioning. This app taught me to trust. Pretty cool outcome. Annnnd, when he knew I put Mobistealth on his phone all he said was, "Babe, I don't care that you out that on my phone. I have nothing to hide from you. Just don't lie to me about it." The last part was because I denied it out if panic but admitted it 20 minutes later. The app has it's flaws but if they're cheating you'll definitely find out. It's a complete and total invasion of their privacy so you'll find out all kinds of things that you didn't know! So a couple things may not work, the other things do. There's no way that a cheater won't get caught, even if only one out of the many things it offers works. Buy it, you'll love it! It'll teach you all you need to know. :) - Found a faithful man

I purchased Phone Sheriff for my daughter's phone. Worked GREAT for about a month. We did everything the support people told us to do....reset the phone to it's factory setting TWICE, uninstalled and reinstalled the app TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT, and it still does not work. I loved it but it just simply stopped working. Sadly, I have read many other people say the same thing about their products. I can't seem to figure out why it just suddenly stops working on people. - REMEMBERMARIE
I installed Mobistealh lite...it worked for a while, but for two weeks now, now its no longer updating the call log and the SMS log. The GPS is working fine though.... very strange. I emailed support, and they replied that they will get back to me in 12 hours. So we will see - Irritated
When you can actually get it to work, it isn't too bad. The problem is that it is very inconsistent, support is pretty much non-existent, collects SMS data but not picture/video messaging, and the GPS is very unreliable. Not all all as advertised. - FLGuy

an excellent software to monitor cell phones. it took me sometime to understand the settings to do phone call recordings but once it was properly configured, i was amazed by the results. I would highly recommend this software - jhon

Then it stops recording and their staff say its because whatsapp had an upgrade, so they asked me to unroot the phone, then reroot, then uninstall the software, then re install...had to do this for so many times and still dont work. IT WAS FOUND by some software on wife's phone as SPYWARE. Software that came on phone from T-moble, we added none. Almost screwed me if there was not a lot of download updates on her phone in the last few days to pass it off on, OMG. The tracking is off sometimes by miles. It stops working now and then. The recordings sometimes don't show for hours or a day or two. So, if she gets a call to meet your to late. If you don't know were she is going to, the tracking is off sometimes by a little to miles. Sometimes tracking don't show up for hours. Seem to be when you need it the most. One to two times a month you have to call to fix it. Had this for one years BUT IN THE LAST 2 DAYS 7-28-13 ITS BEEN DETECTED AS SPYWARE. Just 1 month after renewed for 200.00, now I had to delete it. - Bill
Their support is terrible. They wait days and when you call they say uninstall. The gps froze up and they couldn't figure it out. This went on for 9 days. I finally called up an individual who told me to look at data useage on quick settings. It wasn't checked. So he told me to check it and restart the phone. Worked fine. So much for mobistealth knowing their software. Can't get recordings. I wouldn't use them again. Once mine expires, I'm done. Just using for tracking and call numbers. They are lame. - mobiphone
There's no live call interception, however call recording does cover this for the most part, and that there's no phone support, however your emails were promptly replied to. Call recording is really solid in the app. The best thing I like about the app is 3 days trial - Chintan Dhruva

After getting my refund from Mobile Spy, I turned to FlexiSPY Omni. I was discouraged at first by the higher price, and by the fact that I could monitor only one phone for the listed charge. That isn't a problem if a person is spying on a spouse's phone, but many families have more than one child, so an option to monitor multiple phones would increase FlexiSPY's overall appeal to parents. FlexiSPY does not offer some of the features that Mobile Spy does. It would be nice to see FlexiSPY add monitoring of websites and photos. The Facebook Messenger monitoring doesn't work for some reason. I saw a similar comment in another review on this site. In spite of these limitations, I have found FlexiSPY to be much more reliable and I love the Spy Call and Call Intercept features (not offered by Mobile Spy). Both of these work perfectly. FlexiRecord also works remarkably well, and I often let it run throughout the night, especially if my daughter is staying overnight at a friend's house for instance. I like being able to know that the calls she makes are recorded. FlexiRecord does tie up another smart phone, which I don't care for. Both Flexispy and Mobile Spy are very discreet once installed, but neither is easily installed on the target phone without troubleshooting after the installation, sometimes going on for several days. I'm not sure how that would be possible when trying to monitor a spouse's phone discreetly for instance, but it works with children's phones if you are being up front about the monitoring. When using SpyCall you have to be sure to keep pressing the mute button after dialing the target number. If you don't get the call muted ASAP you can be heard and the person you are monitoring is aware that someone is listening. I have no complaints about FlexiSPY's functionality. It works just as described, without issue. The monitoring website is easy to use and I especially like the GPS tracking feature, which shows me an animated "trail" of where my daughter has been for a given time period. It is quite accurate as long as the phone's GPS setting is turned on. FlexiSPY's support is more than adequate. The installation and help videos are excellent. I do wish there was a phone number for tech support, but the live chat works reasonably well, especially late at night when there are fewer people being helped. Response times can be somewhat slow during the day. I had some excellent sessions with the techs and they were determined to find a solution to any problems I encountered. I did have a compatability issue with my Samsung Galaxy S4 Blaze. FlexiSPY ran perfectly on the phone, but would not communicate the data to the server so I could view the logs online. All the features worked well however including Spy Call, Spy Intercept, and FlexiRecord. There were no issues whatsoever with my Samsung Exhibit 4G. FlexiSPY runs perfectly on it. In conclusion, even though Mobile Spy offers arguably more features than FlexiSPY at a lower price, it does not deliver the goods. FlexiSPY, in my opinion, is worth the extra money because it delivers peace of mind, works just as promised, and if there are any issues, tech support will help get them ironed out as quickly as possible. I do think FlexiSPY is, right now, more suitable to catching a cheating boyfriend or girlfriend, but adding some additional features like website checks and photo monitoring would easily make it a parent's best friend. Right now, in spite of limitations, I think it is the best option out there for parents who want to be responsible and monitor their childrens' phones. - rebeccapeabody
After reading several online reviews, I was initially considering three programs: Mobile Spy, StealthGenie, and FlexiSPY. I chose to go with Mobile Spy because it seemed to have the largest number of monitoring features for the best price. For $129.00 I could monitor up to three phones for one year, and this price included a LIVE panel option which was supposed to allow me to view the phone's location in real time on a map, allow me to send instant commands to the target phone, and show me a screen shot from the target phone every 90 seconds, a truly awesome feature. I also liked that Mobile Spy would allow me to monitor all Facebook messages and that I could see any photos taken, sent, or received by the phone. Nice features to be sure! Unfortunately, Mobile Spy did not live up to its claims, and after spending the better part of a week setting up and troubleshooting a free seven day trial of their software on my two daughters' Android phones, I was extremely disappointed in the result. The process of installing and setting up monitoring software on a cell phone sounds easy in theory, but in reality it is time consuming and not for the faint of heart. I found this to be true for both Mobile Spy and FlexiSPY. In fact, I can't imagine attempting this type of installation without having unrestricted access to the target phone when needed. First I had to root both phones. I didn't want to make a mistake and destroy the phones, so I paid $35.00 per phone to have the rooting done for me at a repair shop. After rooting the phones and following the installation instructions to the letter, I had many issues with the Mobile Spy software. One of the primary ones was that the logging process was simply too slow to be useful. I set the location monitoring frequency to every 15 minutes, and I was lucky to get one or two locations per hour. Sometimes I got only two or three per day. It was extremely inconsistent. In addition, text messages, calls, etc. would not appear on the monitoring site in a timely manner, so it was very difficult to tell if the software was working properly. I really appreciate FlexiSPY's command that sends data immediately to the website, making it much easier to troubleshoot. Some of Mobile Spy's features worked reasonably well, but the ones that I was most excited about, specifically the LIVE panel and the Facebook messenger monitoring, never worked on either phone. LIVE panel takes 1 to 5 minutes to load, so it is very time consuming to intiate, and thus not particularly useful for tracking in an emergency situation or if you were really concerned about your child at a given moment. Tech support told me at one point that some of the features would not work during the free trial period (by the way NOT what their website claimed), so I went ahead and paid the $129.00 to purchase the actual product. There was absolutely no change after purchase. I waited the recommended six hours, then many more in addition, and still no change. I like the idea of Mobile Spy's phone in tech support, and they were great about answering my many calls and trying to be helpful. Unfortunately, their product was simply not functional on my phones, and the techs I talked with were not overly knowledgeable and made no effort to find out why the software wasn't functioning properly. We reached the end of the road pretty quickly, and I asked for a refund, which I was promptly and cheerfully issued. - rebeccapeabody
I've finally had a chance to review this product, and I have to say there are a large number of features for the price. They have a 3 day, full-featured demo available which I downloaded and installed. I ran into a small problem during installation....when I turned my phone sideways to slide out the keyboard and type in my email address the text inputs got all wonky and shortened so that I couldn't see the second one. I ended up typing in my email address semi-blindly, then pressing the down arrow and typing my email again completely blind this time and hitting enter...which actually worked. The install/configuration after that was fairly straightforward. After installing it on the phone I logged into the web console on their website to check and see if the data was getting stored properly. The web console was easy to use and had all the data I was looking for....they've done a great job incorporating Google Maps into the website for GPS tracking and over-all I have to say the application delivered and provided a remarkable number of features for the price. I also had to contact support with a quick question, and they got back to me within the hour. This is definitely my new favorite spy phone software. - Editorial
Beware: I bought PhoneSheriff and when I was reading the users guide, I was made aware that the program would show on the phone's settings in "apps". Not very stealthy! The savvy phone user would know a new program had been installed, even though they say the app would have a different name. When I asked for a refund, I was told no, even though I never installed the program. - Roger
This product is RUBBISH. I have had to make so many support calls for contacts losing phone numbers. They seem to change thier software, and it breaks something, so I have to make a support call at leat twice a month. It gets fixed for a few days, and then stuffs up again. Also am long getting all the texts. They are losing information. Keep well clear of this product - Frustrated
So far, so fair. The text messages show up every time in complete text so that is good, but I paid for the calls also. Everytime I ask for help it is the same answer to try abcd, 123, try all the modes. You realize how long it takes to try every mode on an actual call. A lot of wasted time and even then cannot get a clear voice from both at the same time. you would think with this high of a price the staff could test the modes and stragies on the most popular O/S used such as blackberry or android. If they could at least give me the best Mode and Stragey for an LS Android phone, I would rate them a five. - Max
I am very disappointed with this product. It doesn't give you very many of the features on an android. I can not check the emails on the phone and the main reason I got this - monitoring web browsing - is very easy to bypass. If they have a you tube app on their phone, this product does not tell or show you what they are looking up when they are in you tube. Also it does not show videos taken with or sent to the phone like it's supposed to. All in all it was a big waste of money! - db

This company goes by two different names, Big Daddy Spy and E-Stealth. If you check out BBB (Better Business Bureau), you will find they have a rating of F. Everyone who's gotten burned by these guys needs to go to BBB and send in a complain. This will cause BBB to do a bit more research and maybe put them out of business. - Adanice

I purchased a 6 month license for Mobistealth and within 3 days I caught him. I did't purchase the plan that offered phone call recordings, but I wish I had, because they were talking, and not texting. That didn't stop me though because the GPS led me right to the house! He was really surprised to see me and so was she! This spyware is awesome and I highly recommend it. There are a few glitches here and there though. Sometimes it might miss a text or phone call log but I promise, if he is cheating you WILL catch him! An awesome feature they provide is the recording of the target phone's surroundings. At first, I had some problems trying to get this feature to work. The company was great in trying to resolve the issue, but I think it was me, and eventually I gave up. They have since come out with an update (a message was on my web portal page after logging in) and I reinstalled the software and it worked like a charm. You send a "secret text" to the phone and can record 5, 15 or 30 minutes of any and all conversations within range of the phone, even if it is in his pocket. One thing to note: the "secret text message" will show up on the target phone so make sure to use a normal phrase like "just thinking about you", etc. You can change your phrases as often as you want that way and you can record him more often and he won't see the same messages. After viewing his web history (another great feature), I found out he was watching a ton of porn and active on a few adult websites. I tried to login but I couldn't guess his username and password so I waited until he fell asleep and used his phone to access the sites. His login info was saved on his phone (stupid mistake!) so I was able to see exactly what he was up to. If you do this, just make sure you delete the history so he won’t know you were on his phone! The only negative thing I have to say overall, is that they claim to provide free phone number lookup. This works fine for home or office telephone numbers but does not work for the majority of cell phone numbers. Overall, I highly recommend this service. I have been very pleased with all the features and Mobistealth's customer service. It was the best money I ever spent and I would definitely use it again! - Gotcha
Once I installed the Mobistealth software on the Blackberry Storm 2, it was visible on 3rd party apps so i deleted it and ya SOOO i guess that messed it all up. Emailed support and over 18 hours later I finally got a response that I should not have deleted it and that I had made a mistake (I find it hard to believe that no one has ever deleted the software before), there was NO HELP whatsoever on how to fix it so after another email and 12 hours later I followed their instructions and got the problem fixed. They only reset certain parts though and they didn't reset the location so the GPS location tracking did not work. Now i have tried listening to the phone's surroundings, but it barely works. I am lucky if I get 2 minutes, if that. Most of the time it's some whacky noise, so i emailed a few times and another 12-18 hours later i got a response, with NO help and stating i should just use the 5 minute record. It takes them forever to contact back. I updated my SMS commands and for almost 24 hours it just says "waiting for update from the phone, please refresh page in a few minutes". I will start a recording and it says on the dashboard that recording has started but then when i check to listen there is no recording? Some great features, but there seem to be a lot of bugs so I can only give it 3 stars. - thatchick
So far I am happy with the Mobistealth service. I bought two licenses, and have no real complaints other than I wish I could download the call and sms logs in csv, pdf or similar format. I also would like the ability to record all calls, not just a select few. Flexispy seems to offer this, so maybe we will see this in future releases? - Bob
OK, I knew my wife was having an affair but I just could not catch her. She wasn't real tech savvy so I thought about what I could do to catch her. Well I found Mobistealth on the internet and decided to try it. The target phone I used it on was the Android 2.2 Incredible. Mobistealth was a little bit pricey, but as far as I could tell had the best reviews in terms of consistency so I thought money should not be an issue when finding out if your spouse is cheating. Well here is the problem. Ever since I installed it, this program only works half of the time. I knew she took off and met with this guy and the dang thing shut down. I could have tracked her to that location but when it is down, it is down. Every time I send the support team an email they seem to somehow reset it remotely. But it was always too late. The support is through email only, but they really need people to answer phones. They are paid a lot of money and should at least give us that. Besides that, support has been great, the layout of the website is great, installation and operating instructions are pretty lame though. If they would fix this problem (losing data) which somehow I believe is completely on their end, I would give them five stars. But at this point they get a 2-2 1/2 stars. When they fix it I will change my rating. Come on MOBISTEALTH! - Bart
I was very disappointed with the Mobile-Spy phone application. I had installed this software on my husbands phone (Sprint's HTC EVO 4G) and right away he began having issues with his phone not working quite right. It only took him all of 2 days to find the app installed on his phone because what Mobile-Spy doesn't tell you is that the app shows up on their phone when you look at the list of apps. (Editorial Note: They now claim the application is undetectable.) It is NOT hidden. I paid for 6 months of service and got two days out of it. I asked Mobile-spy what to do and they told me I could re-install it as many times as I wanted, which of course is no help at all because of course I re-installed it again he found it the next day and uninstalled it again. Now as you can probably guess he knows I did it and I can't ever put it on again. Not to mention all the fights this has caused!! They need to make a version that doesn't show up on the apps list! I'd like to use Flexispy since I've read that it's completely hidden, but his phone doesn't seem to be supported. - Unhappy Wife
I purchased this spy phone software back when my son had a BlackBerry phone. Installation took a lot longer than "a few minutes" and the instructions were reasonably complicated so it did not make it very easy to install without him noticing. Once I did get the software installed it ran smoothly, most logs came through (unless the SMS texts were over one "page" long, then I just got a "-" instead of a record of the text). Then we bought him a Droid (with Android OS)… I un-installed the spy software from the BlackBerry and followed the instructions to install it on the Motorola Droid. It shows up RIGHT in the Apps list! It is not "stealthy" AT ALL! Customer Service has taken up to TWO WEEKS to respond to my messages seeking help AND the "Lookout App" he heard about on TV and insists on installing on his Android Phone removes Mobile-Spy from the phone!!! I paid for a one-year subscription and it has not worked in over 4 months!!! With many, many attempts at contacting their customer service all I ever got was ONE response TWO WEEKS AFTER I sent the message saying "you should know that it is illegal to monitor a phone that is not your own. The wankers! It is my child's phone, but I bought and paid for it and therefore it is MY phone, but that doesn't mean I want him to know he is being monitored. They didn't offer any assistance AT ALL except to "delete the Lookout App" Of course I can do that, and then he will of course reinstall it again. WORTHLESS!! This service is WORTHLESS!! I am having the same issues described by Mad Dad and Mad Mom. While I was able to intercept some horrifying information, and it has served it's purpose, I know that I missed a lot of info as well. The phone carrier bill showed a large number of text messages that did not show up in the logs. Get it together guys! I would go with FlexiSPY if I had it to do all over. The user of the monitored device has recently started complaining that her phone has been extremely glitchy and now she is shopping around for a new phone... - Mad Fiance
My problems are exactly like some of the other reviews. I have had so many missed texts, phone calls etc. Most of the texts only have half of the message. The GPS only works when it feels like it. I downloaded this program in March. I to was told that after the update things would improve. I have had to do many updates. After several inquiries and waiting days on end for responses, I have found out in JUNE that the 2.1 verson of firmware for Android is not supported..wth?!! I had discussed this with them from the beginning because when I went to download it said that no 2.1 existed but I should use 2.0 instead. THEIR ADVICE! I was angry so you know what they did? They refunded my money and cancelled my account! I had no idea they were even doing it. I went to look up the GPS on my daughter the first night of summer vacation and find out that I had been cut off. Best part is, I have called the 888 number with no response, emailed, no response and it has been 4 days! This company is NOT worth the hassle. I have changed to MobiStealth and am thrilled! I bought this software to mainly keep track of my daughter's texts and her GPS location. After I installed it, the code I put in did not take me to the login page like I expected. After a fairly quick response from support I tried the new url they gave me and reinstalled the software with the new instructions to turn the phone "off and back on" before inputting the command code and it finally worked. The next day the phone logs showed exactly 4 texts early in the morning and no phone calls over a 15 minute period, and after that – NOTHING!!! I again sent a message to tech support, and it was nearly a week before I heard from someone which was a big disappointment considering they promised 24/7 support. My daughter was also complaining that her phone was acting up and kept locking up when she tried to make calls or send texts, and she also noticed that some people were texting her and she wasn't even receiving them. The next 36 hours went by with no logs at all. After searching through their sales site, I found two disclaimers stating that URL records only worked on the iPhone, and that GPS only worked on the iPhone and some Windows Mobile devices, but the main website pages all stated that the software would include GPS and URL logging and there is no mention of it only working on certain devices. Overall, I would have to say that I do NOT recommend this product to anyone! Support has promised an update that will fix the issues, but I sincerely doubt it will fix all the problems. I have noticed on other reviews that the software update seems to be the standard response for issues customers have had with the product, so I was skeptical. The tech support guy wanted to blame my carrier for the problems, but I think they have just done a bad job testing the product and released buggy software. Maybe it works better on the iPhone, but it just did not work very well on my daughter's Android phone. - Mom Dad
I bought this mobile spy software for the Motorola Droid which has the Android operating system. It took over a month of going back and forth via email with their staff and I still could not get the software to actually work right. The instructions on the website for setting up the software were inaccurate and listed applications that were no longer available via the Android Market Place. When I emailed the service tech they wanted me to hook the phone up to a PC and download the software! Definitely defeats the purpose of installation being fast and sneaky. It may work on other phone models, but currently does not work for beans on droid. The company did refund my money for the software when I filed a complaint with the BBB but the complaint I filed stated I wanted the software to actually work. Guess the refund was easier. Hope they correct the software issues. - J
I bought this for my husband's phone. He has an HTC Magic. I’m happy now, but it took a bit to get the spy software installed. I will raise my hand and admit it was largely due to me being a complete newb to installing anything on a cell phone. I had never even installed a ringtone before I bought this monitoring software. My only complaint is that I wish the instructions were easier to follow for people like me. It took several emails to customer support for me to finally get it right. As for the actual spy stuff, well it worked and it worked well. It's great being able to read all the text messages on his phone without asking him to show me. So far I have not found anything upsetting, so fingers crossed that things stay this way. Would I recommend this product to other wives worried about their husbands? Yes I would. 100% without a doubt. - D
It was a pain in the butt to install, and I had to keep removing the battery. Then only one feature worked, the call log. The GPS tracker never seemed to work except to show me the #’s of cell towers, which was pretty useless. Customer support was good, but when I followed their instructions to activate the GPS feature it deleted the program from the phone and they said I had to re-install it. I ended up removing it entirely, another pain, and now I am looking for something that works right the first time. - Jessie James
Mobile Spy for me is number one and offered the best value for money with the product features I needed after comparing it with other software. Moreover, Mobile Spy provided a Demo account where I could see how the software worked before purchasing the product. Although I didn't have any problems with the software, I did have a few questions before buying and they seem to have a solid support center. There had also been a lot of media attention with this product on CNN ,New York Times , Los Angeles Times, Forbes, etc, so that gave me a pretty high level of confidence in the product which seems to have paid off. - Chow
I did a little research, and Mobile-Spy seems to be based out of Florida. They offer a lot of great features and have solid support. They seem to be the only company to have a toll-free telephone support that is based in the United States. Their web portal was pretty dependable. The Android mobile spy software worked pretty well, and in my opinion still remain the best value for the money. - Goodwin L.
